Deep in the humid woods, amid the earthy, sooty scent, the wooly aphids and butterflies flit around the ferns and mosses. Along the woodland path, wild, protective garlic heads bobble and toddle, their pointed caps reminiscent of little flames guiding the way down the cobbles. Columbines point their petal arrows in unison, their paddle-like scalloped leaves wiggling in the light breeze. Baby's breath welcomes us into the grasslands, where we can perform our summer rituals in the dusk before taking the path back home.
These tiny bits of summer provide us with the intentions of courage and self-compassion for our own fragile, gentle selves. Our Midsummer combines each of these plants for a ritual oil designed to manifest the intenion of self-love, compassion, and gentle endurance.
We would use this oil to anoint pink candles for self-love or healing spells, bells to cleanse our spaces and usher in good spirits, and more. We use fractionated coconut oil as the base carrier oil, and we keep the plant blend in your bottle for continued infusion and aesthetics. But because all natural things eventually go rancid, please use your oil within six months, and store it in a cool, dark place when not in use.
